Vivienne Hu unveiled her Fall/Winter 2017 collection on Sunday, February 12 at her NYFW Runway show in Gallery II at Skylight Clarkson Sq. This season’s collection was inspired by the architecture and lifestyle of Manhattan, embodying the tough albeit welcoming city life.
With a strong show opening performance by recording Artist, Aubrie Sellers, the runway show featured captivating looks centered on bold construction lines and elegant, flattering cuts. This sixth NYFW collection further promoted the Vivienne Hu brand ethos of owning who you are.
Vivienne said of this collection, “I want this collection to epitomize the strength, individuality, and determination worn by a strong New Yorker as she rushes to meet her next challenge.” Several familiar faces were in attendance: Gary Wassner (CEO, Hilldun; Project Runway – Startup), Ashleigh Murray (CW’s Riverdale), Mel Harris (Hulu’s Shut Eye), Lexi Lawson (Lead Actress, Broadway’s Hamilton), Clara Lee (Actress), Malea Rose (Actress), Kathrine Herzer (Actress, CBS’ Madam Secretary), Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi (NBC’s The Apprentice), Pearl Thusi (Actress, ABC’s Quantico), Tracy Ifeachor (Actress, ABC’s Quantico), Danielle Campbell (Actress), Eden Sassoon (RHOBH), Kristen Taekman (RHONY), Stassi Schroeder (Vanderpump Rules), Kayla Brianna (Recording Artist), ESPN’s Lindsay Czarniak, and Youtube and Instagram sensations, The McClure Twins.
